Have you and your partner(s) been struggling? Are you ever finding yourself feeling confused, dissatisfied or insecure in your relationship? Whether you are dating, married or contemplating separation, having a good strong foundation and understanding of your needs is crucial. Don't go through these struggles alone.

You may feel resistant to come to relationship counseling and wonder how a stranger could help with some of the concerns you and your partner(s) may be facing. Going to see a therapist (for whatever concerns) is an investment. For a moment, think about the different things you invest in. Maybe you go to the gym and invest in your physical health, maybe you spend money to invest in making your living space comfortable, or maybe your invested in your job for financial security. Well I'm here to tell you, it is also important to invest in your relationship and that can be done by seeing a relationship counselor.
By taking this step, you can develop more empathy and understanding for your partner(s), you can end patterns in your relationships that aren't aligning with your ideals, you can develop healthier ways of communication, build trust that may have been lost, or just continue to grow in your partnership.
My goal as a relationship counselor is to provide a brave and safe place where problems + goals can be explored and developed, where you can share concerns freely, and where you can be heard - so you and your partner(s) can continue to grow together. I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and other therapeutic techniques (including mindfulness techniques) to promote communication that serves the relationship, establish a secure attachment/bond, & help to improve overall connection and intimacy.
The typical flow I like to do relationship counseling is to start off with a 90-minute session so I can get a baseline for the concerns. Then, I like to do individual assessments which would be 50-minutes long. Following the individual assessments, I like to have another 90-minute session, and the remaining sessions will be 75-minutes long (unless more time is requested).
